For Earth Day 2018, the Luckiamute Watershed Council invites you to spend the morning at a streamside conservation easement along Middle Fork Ash Creek to help us free some beautiful old oaks - some of them over 200 years old - from the grip of invasive ivy. There is no parking at the site, so you will receive instructions by email on how to get to our meeting area (near Western Oregon University's Gentle House). From there, we will be shuttling volunteers to and from the ivy pull site. Please be sure to wear sturdy shoes or boots, and protective clothing (long pants and sleeves). If you have work gloves, clippers and/or loppers, feel free to bring them with you, or simply borrow ours - we will have plenty of all to go around!
