About the DJs
Synergy is both locally and nationally recognized for his span of music selection and appreciation. His breadth of musical taste is obvious as he always “plants” musical surprises throughout his mixes. Synergy honed his craft DJing in Upstate New York, Toronto, and New York City and now resides in the Bay Area, providing a seamless mix of west and east coast flavas a big mix of old and new school rap, reggae, r&b, and soca. He is also influenced by house and latin music and is respected for being in tune with the dancefloor, hence his name Synergy.
“DJing is truly an art form to me…. I feed off the crowd and create a special event...I strive for everybody to leave satisfied and drippin’ from dancing all night.”
Malachi aka Uncle Snax, or the man with 100 hundred nicknames and a mean sock game, has been connecting with his listeners for the past 20 years via his mix tapes, radio shows and on the dance floor. He applies his love and knowledge of good beats, and impeccably blends them with soulful house, hip-hop and all things mixable. DJ Malachi’s infectious Luv Luv mix tapes have put him on the map internationally, but his reputation and radio shows have kept him thriving in the Bay Area. Although he plays all over, he still proudly calls the East Bay home. You can catch him on his radio show, Luv Luv Radio on www.alldayplay.fm every Wednesday from 10-11 am.
Ronnell "Tekneek" Sanders – Growing up in East Oakland around HIERO and the HOBO - Junction, being influenced by Beat Street, TEK bought his first pair of turntables and a Pyramid mixer, and began djing card games during the original side-show day at Eastmont Mall. TEK knows how to read a crowd and has the skills to elevate any party. When Tek is on the mic, his gift of gab will make a crowd of strangers feel like 200 of his closest friends. Tekneek and Malachi both hold Residency at Motown Mondays – Oakland.
