Having practiced yoga since 2004 and taught since 2012, Richard is an enthusiastic advocate of the physical, mental and spiritual benefits of yoga practice, and how these can help all of us on a practical level in everyday life. His regular classes include asana, pranayama and meditation practices.
He has trained with a number of teachers including Dr Ray Long, Richard Adamo, Zoe Knott, Julie Friedberger and Emma Lloyd, with whom he qualified as British Wheel of Yoga teacher. Influenced by the teachings of Eric Schiffmann, Richard encourages his students to develop trust in their own intuition by listening to their bodies and responding appropriately, to develop strength, flexibility and a state of open, relaxed awareness to improve overall wellbeing.
This session will be an open hatha yoga class suitable for all levels, using classic asana to develop strength and flexiblity, with a focus on how the Bhagavad Gita can guide us to progress and develop, free from attachment.
