On May 27, we are delighted to host The New South Festival Singers.
The New South Festival Singers have delighted capacity audiences at Piccolo Spoleto since 1985. The 50 voice ensemble performs for the first time under new Music Director Andrew Phillip Schmidt and with their new name, New South Festival Singers. The ancient to modern program includes works of Monteverdi, Parry, von Bingen, and Gjielo, culminating in the rousing spirituals and gospel selections that have made the Festival Singers a regional sensation under former directors William Baker and Lynn Swanson.
This concert is part of the Festival of Churches and Synagogues series. There is no admission charge for the concert but a free-will offering will be collected. Concerts are 50 minutes in length.
