Make rapid progress over the Easter Holidays on our two weeks intensive Arabic course for Young Learners (11 to 17) and Adults. Students will complete a total of 20 hours of Arabic language practice - will start in April 2018. Classes will run during the evenings and will cover about one term of a regular evening Language Course. The course is ideal for complete beginners and for students who want to do a revision course before continuing to the next level. Enrol now before spaces are fully booked.
1. Modern Standard Arabic Beginners (6.30PM - 8.30PM)
The course aims to enable you to communicate simply in Arabic, to understand and use the language for travel or social purposes and to enjoy and appreciate the cultural background of Arabic-speaking countries. The course has 20 hours spread over 10 sessions. The coursebook used is 'Mastering Arabic' by Wightwick and Gaafar. Published by Macmillan.
By the end of this course, you should be able to...

- Introduce yourself
- Ask for food/drinks
- Public places
- Give/ask for the time
- Ask for simple directions
2. Access to Qur’anic Arabic (6.30PM - 8.30PM)
The course aims to familiarize students with the basic structures of Classical Arabic and to help the students in the comprehension of the language of the Qur'an. Emphasis is placed on reading and writing skills. Prior knowledge of the Arabic writing system is essential. The approach adopted in teaching is grammar based. Class size is limited to fifteen to make learning as interactive as possible. The course has 20 hours spread over 10 sessions. The coursebook used is 'Access to Qur'anic Arabic' by Abdul Wahid Hamid, published by MELS.
STUCTURE: 2 HOURS EACH LESSON, TOTAL OF 10 LESSONS
You can visit the college to pay from Monday to Thursdays between 11:00am and 4:00pm.
