"Madison’s blooming tech sector is a major source of the city’s and the state of Wisconsin’s economic vitality, but the sector’s workforce doesn’t reflect the population of either one. Silicon Valley and other areas have similar problems, but what should Madison and people in the city’s tech sector do to improve diversity and open up the industry’s economic benefits to more people?

The Cap Times, in partnership with coworking community 100state, has assembled an outstanding panel to discuss those questions. Reporter Amber C. Walker will moderate the panel, whose members are:

• Rasheid Atlas, YWeb Career Academy instructor
• Nhi Le, director of gBETA Madison at gener8tor
• Christina Outlay, Department of Information Technology professor at UW-Whitewater and founder of colorcoded
• Dante Viscarra, CEO of Fu2ra

This free Cap Times Talk will take place in the library’s third floor meeting rooms. We hope to see you there. Special thanks to our sponsors, Capital Area Regional Planning Commission and the Madison Public Library, whose support helps make the event possible."
