Sanford, this is something that many of you have been craving for months if not years now. We get questions about this all the time and I am happy to let you all know that yes, there will be an outdoor movie event this spring in Sanford! Honoring National Preservation Month the City of Sanford has put together “Movie in the Square“.
The event starts at 7:30pm with a presentation of “Then and Now”, a series of before and after images, which represent millions of dollars’ worth of preservation projects in the past decade. Following the presentation (around 8pm) attendees of the event will get to enjoy an outdoor movie screening of “The Money Pit”, starring Tom Hanks and Shelly Long on a 16’x20’ screen, possibly bigger…
Bring your chairs and picnic, and enjoy a fun night under the stars! Alcoholic beverages are allowed. Support local and buy food from local shops (Magnolia Square Market has a perfect selection of delicious food to munch on during the movie and how about some Marshmallows from Wondermade across the street?). If you’re a popcorn lover, you’re in luck: Sanford’s Park Avenue Pop Corn Shoppe will be selling fresh pop corn on site 🙂
