Join us for an evening of live artmaking and a live auction while celebrating the kick-off of our Scholarship Drive. Be the first to browse our spring exhibition and get an up-close and personal view of each artist’s process as they create a piece of art right in front of your eyes, in our galleries!
#ArtinAction, Main Line Art Center's 2018 spring exhibition (on view from April 29 – June 2) and scholarship drive, will feature the work of Jessica Curtaz (in collaboration with The Pennsylvania School for the Deaf), Ariel Edwards, Elaine Lisle, Deirdre Murphy Art and Scott White (in collaboration with a student from The Shipley School), and Bernice Paul. These artists each represent a different facet of our creative community: accessible art programs, teachers, students, members, and staff; together they embody our vision of art for everyone. Along with works for sale, a select piece from each artist will be up for auction at the event.
The FREE opening celebration on April 28th, from 6:30 – 9 PM will kick off our crowdfunding campaign designed to increase the number of need-based and accessible art scholarships we grant each year to children, adults, seniors, veterans, and families. RSVP is required. Dress is casual. Light bites will be served. A selection of beer and wine will be available for purchase at a cash bar. All attendees 21+ will receive one free drink ticket.
Through #ArtinAction, we hope to raise scholarship funds, celebrate our artistic community and honor our mission to make art accessible to everyone. For more information and to RSVP, please visit www.mainlineart.org.
