From April 17th to April 23th Concordia Fintech Society, Blockchain at McGill, the McGill Students Fintech Association, and the Government of Canada invite students, professionals, and anyone else interested to participate in Canada's first government sponsored blockchain CodeFest.
This opening ceremony will serve as the official kick off for the Montreal satellite location of the Canadian Governments Blockchain Code Fest. There are several other satellite locations currently confirmed with many other to follow. By participating and submitting an idea to the CodeFest it could result in a Government of Canada organization requesting a follow-up for a more focused experiment or pilot project. We are also currently sourcing sponsorships to have in house prizes for the best teams.
The Government of Canada will be providing 5 themes for us problem statements. Three of them will be Government of Canada based and two will be focused on the private sector.
No Blockchain coding experience is required, we will be organizing workshops on the basics of smart contract coding as well as others. Stay tuned for more announcements.
We will be announcing the sponsors and prizes in the coming days so watch this page!
PARTICIPATION IS ABSOLUTELY FREE!
All announcements will be posted here: https://gcblockchain-chainedeblocsgc.github.io/
