This 6-week psycho-educational group program helps develop capacity for greater calm and teaches
practical skills to manage stress.

Practicing mindfulness is a way of cultivating a happy and healthy life. Research shows that mindfulness-based stress reduction can help alleviate anxiety, depression, stress, and chronic pain leading to better sleep, lower blood pressure, and fewer worries.

You will be guided by Heather Rea in how to establish a
mindfulness practice and learn ways to bring it into your
daily life. Heather is a Certified Health & Wellness Coach with an
MS in Exercise Science, Graduate Certificate in Complementary
Medicine & Wellness, and Yoga Instructor. She has co-facilitated
mindfulness since 2010 in a variety of settings including
hospitals, universities, non-profits, and schools.

What is Mindfulness? The awareness that rises from paying attention on purpose in the present moment, non-judgmentally. This involves tuning into bodily sensations, emotions and thoughts with kindness and curiosity. These are equally practices of the mind and the heart.
What are mindfulness based interventions? Scientifically validated educational programs that teach meditation, movement, mindful eating and mindful communication.
Discover why so many people around the world are embracing this simple and effective way to help quiet the mind, increase attention, awareness and resiliency, and improve health and well-being.
