Did you know that plants can affect climate? Paul Whitaker will discuss this topic at 7 pm Monday, May 14, at the Hatley Branch Library, 435 Curtis Avenue in Hatley. This presentation is part of the History Speaks in Your Town series presented by the Marathon County Historical Society and the Continuing Education office of UW-Marathon County.

Climate affects how and where plants grow, but plants are a geological force of nature that have altered Earth's climate in dramatic ways. Paul Whitaker explains these relationships between plants and climate.

Paul Whitaker is a Professor of Biological Sciences at UW-Marathon County.

This talk is free and open to the public. All donations are appreciated. Registration is not required.
