The Vietnamese Youth Development Center (VYDC) Board of Directors invites you to the celebration of VYDC's 41st Anniversary at our annual fundraising gala on Thursday, April 26th, 2017, 6:00-9:00 PM at the Marines' Memorial Club & Hotel. Please join us for a delightful evening featuring Tallia Hart, President & CEO of the San Francisco Chamber of Commerce, cultural performances, and a silent auction.
For the past 40 years, VYDC has provided compassionate, effective, and much-needed social services to empower underserved youth and struggling, hard-working families. VYDC was originally founded in 1977 to help Southeast Asian refugee and immigrant youth living primarily in the Tenderloin District assimilate into a new country and culture. VYDC has since grown from a one-room office offering translation services, English as a Second Language programs, and vocational classes to a locally and nationally recognized multi-service center serving youth of all backgrounds throughout San Francisco. Today, VYDC provides employment, leadership development, academic support, translation, and health and wellness programs to more than 500 youth every year.
