Brought to you by The Dumb Friends League and PetSmart Charities, Dr. Roger Haston will be offering a lecture titled "The Future of Animal Welfare" for DFL volunteers, staff, and our local animal welfare community on Friday, April 13th from 6:00-8:00 pm at the Denver Marriott South at Park Meadows and we would love for you to be there!

In his landmark presentation, “Future of Animal Welfare,” Dr. Haston gave an in-depth view of metrics and sheltering, and a more general view of animal welfare. In this session, he continues from that framework. Through a review of animal welfare history along with examining important trends that are occurring in animal welfare, he will build a vision for the opportunities and challenges that we face in the future.

Key learning for this session will include:

A brief history of animal welfare
Philosophical grounding principles that shape our view of animal welfare and rights
An understanding of the key national trends in animal welfare.
A vision of the opportunities and challenges we face in the future.
