The model method is one of the 13 heuristics in mathematical problem-solving. It uses the drawing of rectangular bars to represent the unknown in a maths word problem. It is a problem-solving tool that helps students visualise maths concepts and solve problems.
In this workshop conducted by ex-MOE teacher, parents will learn how to use the model method to solve word problems involving the lower primary maths topics. Parents will also learn about the different skills required in using the model method and strategies to help children who have difficulties in solving word problems.
This workshop is suitable for parents with children in primary 2 and 3.
