Mindfulness is an evidenced-based meditation that allows us to be happier and healthier by learning to relate to ourselves, emotions and thoughts in a different and more beneficial way. The course trainer is a teacher who teaches adults and children and practices this daily.

This course is run weekly for 8 weeks starting on 16th March and will be run in the Marshfield Community Centre. It starts at 7.00pm and ends at 9.00pm.

The course structure is as follows:

16th March – ‘What is mindfulness?’ and ‘Starting Where We Are’

23rd March – ‘The body as a place to stay present’

30th March – ‘Introducing Mindfulness Support’

6th April – ‘Working with Distraction’

13th April – ‘Exploring the Undercurrent’

20th April – ‘Attitude of the Observer’

DATE TO BE AGREED WITH GROUP - Full morning of Mindfulness

27th April – Self-Acceptance

4th May – Final session, ‘A Mindfulness Based Life’
