Catfish and the Dogstars - Rusty Gates - Captain Coopersmith
9pm - $10 - 21+

Formed during the early summer of 2011, Catfish & the Dogstars is a Chicago band playing their own style of Rock & Roll. Embrace the heavy.

Rusty Gates is a Chicago-based band with members from all over the country. When the group formed in August 2013, the idea was to combine each member's unique musical background and collaboratively create songs that stand apart from any single genre, and the result is Rusty Gates's own unmistakable style of jazz influenced funk, soul, and prog. RG has shared the stage with groups like Banda Magda, Mister F, and Woo Park, and has played on almost every stage of note in Chicago. Having just released their first LP "Still Dry" - available now wherever you stream music - Rusty Gates is going strong and is heading back to the studio for a follow-up EP coming in 2018. The "Rusty Sound" is where the party is, and it's a party you won't want to miss.

Captain Coopersmith is based out of the suburbs of Chicago, and have been playing the Chicago land area for a few years now. This band has been seen playing popular venues such as The House of Blues, Metro, Double Door, and Martyrs. They released a full length debut album in 2014 "Captain Coopersmith", and now they will be releasing their second full length album "Friend of the Family" on September 15th at Martyrs. Captain Coopersmith's style of play is known to be a form of rock with a twist of multiple genres such as jazz, blues, and Soul. The band plays an extremely energetic, and dynamic show that always leaves you guessing whats going to happen next.
