Week 2: Archetypes – Archetypes are universal, mythic characters, believed by psychoanalyst Carl Jung to be part of the Collective Unconscious. Our personalities, motivations, and actions are influenced by these roles we have chosen for ourselves. In our second class, we will examine the major roles we have selected for this lifetime to better understand what strengths and assets we have at our disposal, as well as what might be hindering our progress. For instance, perhaps you have chosen the role of Caregiver, but have been so consumed with giving to others that you have neglected yourself. Better understanding these roles and how they complement each other can help us restore balance and move forward more productively.
This class is part of a four-week Exploratory Meditation Series in which we will discover what is standing in the way of living on our true life’s path. With knowledge comes power, and that knowledge is within us already! Each class will include a brief discussion about the week’s focus, check in with oracle cards, a guided meditation with crystal singing bowls to help delve deeper into our own knowing, art making or journal writing, and an opportunity for sharing. All materials and yoga mats/chairs provided. Please bring a pillow and blanket. Sunday evenings from 4-5:30 at Massage by Laura in Marlton, NJ.
All classes are facilitated by Sara Joy Kuhlen of Divine Harmonies.
