This watercolor workshop will cover how to paint a successful loose background on a floral painting using a limited palette, preserving whites of the paper. Students will learn techniques for how to capture transparent, translucent, and softness using glazing and layering techniques –wet into wet/dry on dry, soft and hard edges—and how to use color effectively for dramatic shadows.
Additional Information: Supplies not included. See the supply list at https://matsu.alaska.edu/departments/fine-arts/supply-lists.
The Artist will provide a photo reference to work from, unless the student prefers to use one of their own.
