The next session of MTG StageworX will be held on Tuesday evening, 10 April.
MTG StageworX is our script reading group that has been formed to engage current members not involved in the current production, and offer an avenue for new members to get involved in community theatre.
The two scripts which will be read in the next session are:
• "The Boor", by Anton Chekhov. A Russian one-act comedic play about a mistress of a country estate, the proprietor of the country estate and a servant.
• "My Husband's Nuts", by Devon Williamson. A comedy about the awkward, unexpected moments that occur after husband Jack suffers a bump on the head and is convinced that he is a Japanese soldier holding out on an island after World War 2. Can his wife, the town's new vet and the village idiot restore Jack’s mind without the help of the medical profession…or commonsense?
MTG StageworX will read, review and recommend scripts for future productions but is also a terrific starting block for anyone new to theatre and wanting to develop stagecraft in voice production in a social environment.
MTG StageworX sessions are held on the second Tuesday of each month from 7.30 pm until 9.30 pm, and the fourth Sunday each month from 1.30 pm until 3.30 pm.
