The Hampton Fire Fighters Charitable Organization (HFFCO) has teamed up with Jay Collins of MaxEdge Fitness to bring forward a one day seminar to educate and train the mind and body to better perform during our occupational duties as firefighters, police officers, military, corrections, etc.
Jay Collins is the only Original Certified Gym Jones Trainer under Mark Twight in NH, and 25th in the world. A certified Kettlebell instructor for 11 years by Steve Maxwell; who is responsible for introducing KB’s into the US. As a paid consultant, he’s worked with gyms around the world. MaxEdge was voted ‘The Best Independently Owned Gym in NH.’

Here’s a tentative break down of the day. I’ll be developing these topics and expanding upon them. I believe in allowing the conversation to flow in the areas where people might have more questions. Inevitably one topic may flow into something unplanned. Which is how I like

9:00-9:30 Check In
9:30-10:30 Functional Training and Real World Application-Building repetitive effective reliable strength (Proper lifting and moving, Kinesthesia and body mechanics)
10:30-10-45 Change/Warmup for group workout (Not mandatory for those physically unable)
11:00-12:00 Group Workout
12:00-12:30 Lunch (provided with registration fee)
12:30-1:30 Nutrition and Supplementation (Balanced Dietary discussion for the ‘Active Body’)
1:40-2:30 Developing Habits that will allow you to live a more manageable and effective life.
2:45-4:00 Mental Vs Physical-Team Building and how it can improve your training.
