POD MOJO KOŽO / IZJOKALA SEM IZ SEBE
Glavna tematika mojih ilustracij so ljudje v vsakdanjih življenjskih situacijah.
S svojo logiko in občutenjem transformiram videno realistično v strnjeno ploskovito podobo. Moj temelj je igra in ne podrejanje likovnemu estetskemu kanonu. Včasih se igram z nekakšno vmesno, dvoumno in naivno perspektivo in zgodi se nekakšna domišljijska čudnost.

UNDER MY SKIN / I HAVE WEPT IT OUT OF MY SYSTEM
My main subject in illustration are people alongside their everyday life situation – focusing on the character and the colors in my distinctive style intertwining realistic and abstract – from vivid and bright explosions of color to pale shades.
I quite like imperfection so the people I draw whether they are for straight portraits or imagined tend to be a little awkward looking – I suppose this gives them vulnerability. I love strange faces that tell a story only with the characteristics – where you can lose yourself in the irregularities. I try to challenge lost beauties of an imperfect existence. Strangeness of normality, deformation of faces and bodies which makes their compositions much more interesting has a constant sway on my work.
I work using a mix of collage, mark-making, textures, print, acrylic, watercolor, rotring, crayon and pencil. Somehow, when I am making a collage, I have the sensation that am an intuitive architect. I like to play with shapes and lines and make them do a little dance before creating the final piece.
With my own logic and sensation I transform seen realistic figure to serried flat figure. My fundamental is play and not being subordinated with art aesthetic canon. Sometimes I play with some kind of intermediate, ambiguous and naïve perspective and sort of imaginary oddity takes place.
