The 6th Annual McCabe Pub CHARITY Crawfish Boil will take place on Saturday, May 5th from 3 - 8 p.m. Tickets are $40 and include all you can eat crawfish, three drink tickets and live entertainment. Since we are celebrating on Cinco de Mayo this year, there will also be a food truck with delicious Mexican food and some festive libations. All proceeds from this event benefit The LAM Foundation in honor of McCabe Pub co-owner Stefanie Dean Brown.
If you don't know Stefanie's story, she was diagnosed with a rare lung disease called LAM in October of 2010. Her life - and all of the other women with this disease - has forever changed. Some patients battle kidney tumors, like Stefanie, but all will also fight this disease the rest of their life as it will slowly destroy their healthy lungs. Lymphangioleiomyomatosis (lim-fan-gee-o-ly-o-my-o-ma-to-sis) or LAM is a metastasizing neoplasm that results in cystic destruction of the lungs. Because of the rarity of this disease, fundraising is a grassroots effort shouldered mostly by patients, family, and friends. There are roughly 3500 sporatic LAM cases in the whole world, primarily females.
Please HELP FIGHT FOR A CURE and give a breath of hope for LAM patients and Stefanie. 100% of the proceeds will be donated to the LAM Foundation in honor of Stefanie and all of the other ladies in the world who suffer from this rare lung disease. The event will take place in the back parking lot of McCabe Pub - rain or shine!
