Homeschoolers, this is a FREE field trip just for you! Come for a day of fun and learning at McCloud Nature Park! The rotating sessions are Reptiles, Nature Hike, and Every Tree for Itself. The field trip sessions begin promptly at 10 am so please arrive by 9:45 am for check-in and a bathroom break. The field trip will conclude around 1 pm.
These lessons are hands-on and active. Click here for the program descriptions: http://hendrickscountyparks.org/programs/school-field-trips-and-outreach
These sessions are most appropriate for Kindergarten-5th grade. The hike will be up to 0.5 miles and will be on gravel and natural trail surfaces, with a difficulty of easy to difficult. Trail running strollers are really the only strollers that work on the trails.
Please bring lunch for your family to eat between the 2nd and 3rd sessions. Lunch will be a great networking and sharing time with the other homeschool families!
Space is limited! Registration is limited to homeschool families only.
