Sleeping Beauty - Auditions/Registration

McComb/Bruchs Performing Arts Center in Wautoma will be presenting an opportunity for area youth, ages 7-18, to participate in the Prairie Fire Children's Theatre original musical production of "Sleeping Beauty." Script and original music by Megan K. Pence and Daniel L. Stock.

Auditions and rehearsals will be held the week of June 11th through 16th, with performances on June 15th at 7:00 PM and June 16th at 1:00 PM.

The Golden Age of Hollywood comes to life in this over the top version of the classic tale. Set on a movie set in the 1930’s, everything that can go wrong does!

Registration and auditions will be help on Monday, June 11th at 12:30 PM at the McComb/Bruchs Performing Arts Center. Up to 74 local young people, ages 7 through 18, are needed to play the roles of Rose, Mallory, Colin, Eugene, Becki, Gwen, Julia, Anna and the rest of the Movie Stars: The Director, Assistant Director, Producer, Cameraman, Assistant Cameraman, Make-Up Girl, Soundman, Dance Coach, Sheep Wrangler, Coffee Girl, Chauncy, Chancy, Chintzy, The Reporter, The Henchmen and The Sheep.

Two professional actor/directors from the staff of Prairie Fire Children’s Theatre will conduct the auditions as well as direct the production and play the roles of bumbling Hypnotist and The Queen Diva of all Stage Mothers.

There are no registration or participation fees for youth to be involved in the production. This week-long Prairie Fire Children's Theatre residency is being sponsored by Dawn & Dave Peterson, Ideal Accounting, Koeppl Law Offices, S.C. and Wautoma Kiwanis Club. The cast will rehearse Monday through Friday afternoons the week of June 11th. Anyone interested in more information can contact the PAC Executive Director, Josiah B.
