The benefits of teaching kids the life skill of meditation are numerous:
o Aids physical relaxation & restful sleep
o Calms the mind chatter improving focus & concentration
o Helps recognise inner strengths & resources
o Allows the flow of creativity
o Helps manage & process stress & emotions
o Develops awareness of the importance of mental self care

Our 8 Week Meditation for Kids program (designed for 8-12 yo) teaches various methods of meditation and mindfulness across a range of topics and activities from breath awareness and muscle relaxation to sensory awareness, emotions, stress, focus and self-esteem.

Each week we cover a different topic and use a breathing exercise, relaxation exercise, guided meditation and tactile activity to integrate it all together, as well as discuss the science behind and purpose of these functions.

The kids receive a manual/workbook, along with an object each week to add to their Meditation Kits, which they take home with them at the end of the program.

Classes run for approximately 45 minutes and are held in our studio in Nambour. Term 2 will commence the week beginning the 30th April with class availability as follows:

Wed 4.30 - commencing 2nd May - 8 week program - $140
Thursday 4.30 - commencing 3rd May - 8 week program - $140
Friday 4.30 - commencing 4th May - casual classes for kids that have done the program - $120 (8 classes)

Full payment in full is required before commencement of classes to secure your child's place and cover the venue, printing and supplies costs (if for any reason your child doesn't enjoy the first class and doesn't want to come back we will refund the fee less $30 for the manual printing cost and first class).

All equipment is supplied (mats, pillows, blankets, masks, etc.) and price includes Meditation Kit and Manual.
