Meet at Bairnsdale, from there we will be transported to Cape Conran which is a 1.5 hour drive away.

Day 1 (74Kms)
The first part of the day will be on sealed roads to Marlo and Orbost (35Kms) before stopping for lunch. From Orbost we will be riding 37Kms on the unsealed rail trail to Nowa Nowa where we will stay overnight.

Day 2 (60Kms)
This is simple, we ride the rest of the rail trail back to Bairnsdale stopping for lunch at Bruthen.

Cost of transport from Bairnsdale to Cape Conran is at a flat rate of $370 whether it's for one person or the maximum of seven people, so if we aim for seven riders we'll each pay $55 including PayPal fees. If we fall short of seven people we will need to make up the difference in cost on the day.

We also have the option of taking eleven people costing $520 total, this will reduce the cost to $49 each including PayPal fees. If we fall short of eleven people we will need to make up the difference in cost on the day.

I'm setting the payment for $55 and if we achieve an attendance of eleven people then we will refund any difference on the day.

I'll check that all bikes are in good condition, suited to unsealed tracks with minimum 35mm tyres, and that everyone is carrying two spare tubes, or one spare tube plus a puncture kit, as well as a pump and basic tools.

In Nowa Nowa I have checked the following options for budget accommodation:
• Room (ensuite)- $85p/room (Inc. 2 people + $10pp)
• Bunk room (shared bathroom)- $15pp up to 6 people
• Breakfast included

• Camping- $10pp
• Caravans- $35pp
• Breakfast available from 6am in a nearby cafe.

Remember the bits:
Cash, basic tools, tubes, rain gear, water, snacks, overnight gear, etc.
