On May 5th you have an opportunity to learn about using a labyrinth to experience a right brain task and enjoy keeping your mind active and alert.

Labyrinths are an ancient tool used to focus on a journey within ourselves, and at the Mental Health Association we will be creating a finger labyrinth that helps the user to center themselves, to meditate or even to pray if they choose.

All the materials will be provided. Nancy Faery will be instructing the group on the technique for completing the labyrinth as well as sharing some information about the history and use of labyrinths.

Nancy is Director of Chaplains at Niagara Hospice and also facilitates the grief support group at the MHA. Nancy has been using her finger labyrinth for some time as a tool to calm and guide herself, to quiet the mind or to focus on a particular issue. She found the project fairly easy to complete and is happy to guide the group.

The group will be limited to twelve participants. There is no cost, but reservations are required. The class will begin promptly at 11:00am and there will be a light lunch included. Please contact the MHA at 433-3780 to reserve your spot!
