As adults, we struggle to learn languages, applying grammar rules as if they were algebraic formulae, and ruing the fact that we didn't stick in with languages when we were much younger. We do battle with the French 'r', and are flummoxed when confronted with an 'ö'. Children, and in particular very young children, learn languages very differently; when an adult learns a second language it is stored in a separate part of the brain, whereas young children store a second language right alongside their first. Babies who are exposed to the sounds of a second language from very early will be more able to achieve native like pronunciation later on.
At Olé Baby, our aim is to introduce a second (or third or fourth!) language to young babies (and their parents/carers) through a variety of songs, chants and games. Parents have fun, babies have a blast, and all the while their brains are developing and soaking up new sounds.
After a year of fun, teaching Spanish to babies and their parents/carers in Leeds, Olé Baby are very excited to be bringing our brand of Mediterranean mirth to Glasgow!
Suitable for babies from birth to 18 months. Sessions will be charged at £30 for a block of 5
