Join After Hours' this Friday for our March social/Polio fundraiser! We have a few extra seats available!
Beer! One of the first things you think about when you hear Wisconsin. Join us to explore the wide world of modern craft beer. Learn how to taste a new beer, what to look for in a new beer, and how to describe what you’re experiencing! Paul LaCount will be on full nerd mode as he describes each beer and what you could be tasting in each of them!
Here’s how it will work: each person will receive a small taster glass and a glass for water. Each glass will be labeled for each person attending. Two-four ounces of beer will be poured in each glass and distributed. Paul will describe the style and what you should expect from each beer in terms of aroma, and taste. After ample time for tasting and commenting, the name of each beer will be revealed! The beers will remain secret until the reveal to avoid bias/hype. The beers will be presented from light-heavy. There will be ten different rounds of tasting.
In order to properly plan for this event, a hard number of people will need to RSVP by Wed March 14th. A maximum of 40 people will be allowed to attend. This event will also require a $15 fee to make it possible. Any extra revenue made beyond the cost of beer will be donated to Rotary After Hours Polio Fundraiser. Even though the beer roster will remain a secret, rest assured all of the beer will be highly rated/rare and well worth the cost!
Although each beer sampled may be low in volume, several will be high in alcohol. Please plan accordingly and do not drive if you’re feeling tipsy.
