North Omaha is the home to political and social activists like Malcolm X, Dorothy Eure and Lerlean Johnson, Ernie Chambers, Mildred Brown, and Charles B. Washington. As true to our history, we are witnessing a time of activism like no other and WE are here to re-establish our place in the movement. From Black Lives Matter to the Poor People's Campaign to #MeToo to March for Our Lives and whatever is next to come, our society is WOKE and the mighty people of the Northside are aiming to be active.

This event is the kick-off of our continued and new activism. We will address the local, state, and national issues that are greatly impacting our community: voter suppression through voter I.D. laws, gerrymandering, and redistricting and prison/criminal justice reform. We will have candidates running for office that are FROM and FOR our community and our issues. We will have opportunities to engage and to register so that, when the May Primary and November Mid-Terms take place North Omaha, will break records for turnout. Now is our time to Register, Educate, and Mobilize our people!! Grab your family and friends and come to the North Omaha Political Convention.
