Consulmex Filadelfia and Mexican Cultural Center Philadelphia invite you to enjoy the rich diversity of Mexican Culture at our annual Mexican Week from May 1st to May 6th.


-May 1st: Flag Raising Ceremony
Consul of Mexico Alicia Kerber will be joined by Mayor Kenney, other officials and prominent dignitaries at the raising of the Mexican flag.

-May 1st: "9 Magic Towns of Puebla" Art Exhibit
Enjoy a Mexican Art Exhibit “9 Magic Towns of Puebla”, on display through May 31st at the Philadelphia City Hall.

-May 3rd: II Sexual Diversity Program: A Dream Come True
Mexican short films presented by the II Sexual Diversity Program of the Morelia International Film Festival that highlight sexual diversity nowadays, followed by a Q&A session with experts.

-May 4th: Downtown Cinco de Mayo Festival
A music festival with awarded Mexican singer Hugo Cesar, as well as a fashion show of traditional Mexican garments and delicious Mexican food.

-May 5th: 5 de Mayo Block Party
Join the Cinco de Mayo Block Party celebration with music, authentic street tacos, and many other surprises.

(During the first three hours of the celebration enjoy educational games and prizes for children).



-May 6th: "Freedom of Movement"
Art making stations, bilingual storytelling and a special performance of Nuevo Mexico dance group, as part of PECO’s Free First Sunday Program at The Barnes Fundation.

-May 6th: Festival Cinco de Mayo
A Cinco de Mayo Festival hosted by Casa Guanajuato, in the heart of Kennett Square, presenting a program full of activities to enjoy with family and friends.

-May 7th: Natalia Lafourcade Concert
The renowned Grammy awardee Mexican singer Natalia Lafourcade will perform in Philadelphia along with the talented musician Augusto Bracho.
