Guest speaker for the evening will be Dr. Peter Goldsbrough, a professor of Botany and Plant Pathology at Purdue University. With his background in genetics and molecular biology, he has been interested in the application of these tools to agriculture. For more than twenty years, he has taught a course on agricultural biotechnology to undergrad students at Purdue. Since step-ping down as department head in 2016, he has become involved in outreach to the public about issues surrounding genetically modified organisms (GMOs) and other applications of biotechnology in agriculture
