MEDITATION FOR BEGINNERS with Alexandra Santos

Alex will take us a step further into the 8 limbs of ashtanga yoga, by introducing the practice of meditation, or more accurately the practice of concentration. Although it may look like the easiest asana, being in a simple seated posture, in practice it can be the most difficult. Focusing the mind on one point to find stillness. Alex will give you the tools to make this task accessible so that you are able to carry it through your asana practice and throughout your day.

Exploring Key Elements in The Primary Series of Ashtanga Yoga
In this series we will be taking a deeper look into some of the fundamental elements within the Primary Series of Ashtanga Yoga. Primary series lays the foundation for the practice and so by diving deeper into its details, we can find a better understanding of the more complex concepts and asanas in Ashtanga Yoga. We can get a glimpse into the intelligence inherently woven into the practice.
An opportunity to study more in depth with your daily teachers at Miami Life Center, and carry on some of the knowledge they've picked up from years of a devoted practice.
