Every Week Anderson Comedy welcomes comedians of all levels of experience to take the Middle East Restaurant and Nightclub Corner Bar super tall stage!

It's a comedy open mic! It's free to watch or if you want to get on stage, just "join" the event, and write a comment that says you want a spot. You don't have to do this, but it gets you on the pre-list, either way you can't be on the real list until you're in the room, so get there as early as you can, I'd suggest before 9, and make sure to check in with John Paul Rivera or Rob Crean as soon as you're in the room. Set times start at 4 minutes each, though if the list gets too crowded they can sometimes be cut down.

Frequently asked questions.
1. How much time do I get?
4 minutes, though on occasion that does get cut down, especially
if you get there late.
2. Can I swear?
You can say whatever you want. It doesn't even have to be funny,
you can literally just say hate speech, people have done it
before, but I should warn you it doesn't go over well.
3. Can I scream my fool head off?
Yes, with a caveat. Don't do it into the mic. You could blow the
speakers, you could damage the sound system, also, it's very
unpleasant.
4. Where do I park?
There is a lot of on street parking, meters end at 6 or 8 (check
signs) there are public lots on Bishop Allen St. and a garage on
Green St. (both parallel to Mass. Ave, one street over in either
direction.)
5. But I don't have a car, how do I get there?
Depends on where your coming from, if close you could walk. If
you're using public transportation you can take the Red Line train
to Central, or the 1, CT1 or 70, depending on where you're
coming from.
6. Where should I stand when I know I'm about to be called to the
stage?
Near the stage.
7. Why is the music from the other room so loud?
It's a rock club.
8. Can I do poetry?
You can, sure, it might be a tough crowd for it though.
9. Can I play music?
Yes, but you only get 4 minutes, and that includes your set up
time, also, it might be a tough crowd for it.
