Play being performed at Thrall Library
The show deals with some serious topics such as Depression and Suicide in warm, powerful, at times funny and at times heart wrenching way. This is a one person show, which runs approximately 70 minutes, with no interval. There will be a talk-back after the show.
A little information about Director/Actor, Lori Schneider - Lori has been the Executive Director of NAMI Sullivan County, NY since 1988. She is an ardent mental health advocate and among her many responsibilities at work, she facilitates monthly Family Support meetings for families who have a loved one living with mental illness and also co-facilitate a monthly Suicide Bereavement Support Group. She was trained under the guidelines of the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP). She is a family member, herself and lost her first cousin, Billy to suicide just over 20 years ago. Lori is also an actor and director who's been involved with local Community Theatre for the past 35 years - proud to have earned awards both for direction and performance from the Theatre Association of New York State (TANYS).She will be directing and performing "Every Brilliant Thing."
