The sixth annual Mississippi Mills Hike for Hospice is on Sunday May 6 and is an opportunity to enjoy the first burst of Spring with entertaining elements for kids, dogs, and hikers at the Mill of Kintail Conservation Area.

Hub Hospice is offering basket prizes for the team that raises the most funds, the dog who raises the most funds and the team with the best theme. It will be a fun day with dog dishes along the walkway, with a hamburger and hotdog barbeque prepared by the Civitan. We will also have an animal petting zoo for Children thanks to local farmer Garth Greene.

Although the hike is a part of the larger national initiative, all funds raised by the local hike stay entirely in our own area. This is the prime fundraiser for our Hub Hospice, which exists to provide in-home end of life care for our community. With no government funding, we rely on the generosity of our community to fund our registered nurse coordinator and train our dedicated volunteers.
