DESCRIPTION
Create a unique and beautiful painting that literally "breaks out" of canvas boundaries! Red-winged blackbirds are one of the most widespread birds in Minnesota, even though they winter in the southern U.S. The first hint of spring brings mature males north, and their distinctive song and the bright red shoulder patches make them easily recognizable in marshes and along reedy lake edges. Spend the day painting the bird itself as well as the cattail environment in a creative composition. On a break or after class head into the Arboretum to find one of these beauties in its natural habitat! Just bring yourself; all supplies included to make a watercolor piece ready to hang at home!
