The fundraising campaign, Hearts for Hope, in memory of Janet Shrewsbury, will replace our Baskets of Hope dinner and auction this year. Now until April 10th you can stop by Carthage Flower Shop, The Popcorn Place, or The Violet Shop and make a minimum donation of $5 in honor or memory of your loved one. An orange balloon will be released for them at our kickoff event April 10th at 6pm on the Panola County Courthouse lawn.
The balloon release will be followed by community outpouring of love and support for Mission Carthage through events, festivals, and competitions held by local businesses, Churches, youth groups, organizations, clubs etc.
On May 10th, there will be an Open House at Mission Carthage where we will celebrate the last day of this event with a telethon. Local media, The Panola Watchman and KGAS will be on site. KGAS will “live remote” from 10:00am- 2:00pm and report on air what everyone has done to come together as a community to support OUR Mission.
We hope you will get involved in this exciting endeavor.
