The Crayon is Mighty: Cartoon Workshop

Inspired by the new collaborative exhibit "Sketches of War" the Missouri State Museum and State Historical Society of Missouri (SHSMO) will present a workshop on drawing cartoons.

The State Museum and SHSMO are partnering with the Missouri River Regional Library (MRRL) in Jefferson City for this event.

This hands-on workshop, appropriate for ages 10-18, will teach students about utilizing symbols and images to express ideas. Follow along as SHSMO staff discuss artist Daniel Fitzpatrick and his techniques for making a powerful image.

Students will be supplied with paper and crayons and will work through the process of developing and refining an editorial cartoon.
