Have you always wanted to have a fantastic food garden but not sure where to start? Or tried but had limited success? These workshops are for you :-) Join Samantha and Renae, as you learn all the skills you'll need!
We are offering this limited workshop series to just 10 people - that way you get lots of one-on-one time and we can provide direct instruction. The workshops are led by local horticulturalist, Samantha Everett, who is passionate about growing food and has experience working with small groups of people to design and create food gardens.
When: Sunday 20 and 27 May, and 3 June from 10am to 2pm (booking is for all 3 workshops)
Where: Mixed Creative, 32 Nile St, Port Adelaide
Together, we'll build a new community food + herb garden space in Annies Lane (32 Nile St, Port Adelaide). Once completed, the garden will remain open to the public to learn, share and collect produce.
By taking part, you'll get 12 hours hands on tuition, that will cover:
* Seed propogation
* Why getting the soil right is so important
* Pest plants and bugs - how to control them naturally
* How to build a wicker garden bed (we'll actually do it together)
* How to build a simple vertical garden (again - we'll show you as its made)
* Basic composting skills
* Plus more!
Please contact Mixed Creative on 0417 869 772 or email@example.com with any questions about the workshop content or what you can expect.
This workshop series is supported by the City of Port Adelaide Enfield.
