Join Peter Schreyer, Executive Director of Crealdé School of Art, for a gallery talk on this exhibition as he recounts his time mentoring and instructing students in New Smyrna Beach in narrative storytelling using traditional film-based photography. This project was produced in partnership with the Mary S. Harrell Black Heritage Museum in New Smyrna Beach and, after going on photography excursions in their neighborhoods, students took field trips to the art studios and galleries at Crealdé School of Art in Winter Park, where they learned how to process film and turn negatives into exhibition photographs in the wet darkroom. A renowned Florida photographer, Peter will also discuss his own works on view in the gallery and provide a view into the life of an artist devoted to his medium and passing on his knowledge to future generations.

Free for members or with paid museum admission.
