The Modern Languages and Linguistics Department invites you all to attend the 6th Annual SUR Plus Ultra Undergraduate Language Research Conference next Monday, March 26th.

We are very excited to have Dr. Brenda Romero who will deliver the keynote speech, titled “Music and Dance as Semiotic Signifiers of Coloniality of Power” from 12:45-1:34 pm in the MUC Ballroom (225A). Dr. Romero is a renowned Ethnomusicologist, and she will share her research in Matachines music and dance, and other folk music genres that reflect both Spanish and Native American origins.
