A great night of music with three local acts!
Marshall Anderson (11pm)
"Marshall moves through the world in a stream of poetry, words flowing from his pen and exhaling from his guitar as naturally as the sun shines on cotton fields."
-Christian Wallace (Texas Monthly)
Carson McHone (10pm)
Carson McHone, a songwriter from Austin, Texas, “writes songs like her life depends on it” (Ray Wylie Hubbard), bringing an intelligence to alt-country that is both immediate and lyrical. She released her debut self titled EP in 2013 and toured nationally and internationally in its support.
Steel Betty (9pm)
Frontman David McD dreamed of being 60 years old and playing in a professional, hardworking, straight tone singing, american music outfit. That dream was achieved 33 years early when he formed Steel Betty with Maddy Froncek (bass), and Micah Motenko (mandolin). Their music draws from traditions across the American psyche: bluegrass, classic country, folk, blues, and more. Steel Betty brings the harmonies and spirit of the American soul to listeners across Texas like few others can, with classic sounds that resonate as clearly today as they did at their inception.
