Leilani Kilgore Back at Mojo's Saturday April 7th Accompanied By Jon Rochner on bass and Phil Leone on drums.
blues musician Leilani Kilgore began playing guitar at the age of 9, a result of her childhood dream to grow up and professionally play music as a career. Starting with classical and transitioning to blues, Leilani has studied under accomplished and skilled musicians that have helped her achieve multi-genre experience as a guitarist.
Her fascination with the blues began at the age of 16 when she met and jammed with local blues musicians who educated and encouraged her. Now a regular performer under her own name in Southern California, a student at Berklee College of Music, and well-known member of the blues community, Leilani Kilgore continues to work at growing as a musician and make a name for herself in the blues genre. She is inspired by musicians both local and international, including Jack White, Joe Bonamassa, Robben Ford, Gino Matteo, Chris Cain, Tom Waits, Son House, Jimmy Page, John Hiatt, Eric Clapton, Jimi Hendrix, John Scofield, B.B. King, Beth Hart, Etta James, Albert King, and others.
