Michael Devine believes that every young person has the right to an education. As Principal of Western Port Secondary College in Hastings, Victoria, he is very aware of the barriers that prevent young people from realising their right to education. He and his staff have managed to change the culture from impossible to possible at their secondary school increasing the percentage of students starting in Year 7 and staying through to Year 12 from 35% in 2011 to 63% in 2016.

You are invited to hear Michael speak about why Behaviour Management is such a hot issue in Education. Learn how you and your school can achieve positive results and how you can respond to behaviour at a system, school and classroom level. This talk promises to be full of useful information and discussion, whether you are about to launch your teaching career, have been teaching for years or just need to be reminded of the powerful, life-changing impact that you as a teacher can have.
