Moolah Movie Nights is teaming up with St. Louis Earth Day to bring you a week's worth of environmentally conscious films. For this entry in our Thursday horror series DEAD ZONE @ the Moolah, we bring you a double feature of man-made environmental monsters!

7:30PM--GODZILLA VS. THE SMOG MONSTER ('71) From Earth's pollution a new monster is spawned. Hedorah, the smog monster, destroys Japan and fights Godzilla while spewing his poisonous gas to further the damage. This super psychedelic, early '70s entry in the Godzilla franchise is a visual treat and a total hoot (85m)

9:00PM--PROPHECY ('79) A log company's waste mutates the environment, creating a giant killer bear-monster. This horror film directed by John Frankenheimer and starring Talia Shire is a ridiculous campy feast. An eagle-eyed viewer may recognize a striking resemblance between the film's monster and a certain ManBearPig from South Park (102m)
