A huge part of what a Shaman does to achieve wholeness and so wellness is connecting with our personal power through harnessing the energies within & around us. One of the ways we do this is by employing the help of power animals. These are energies born to us all and with nurture they can enhance our situation in this life journey. I feel reconnecting/awakening to these energies is necessary to achieving true wholeness. Neglecting these energies or not being aware of them can deprive us of their help. Indeed what we would be deprived of are valuable pieces of ourselves. Fortunately, we can make efforts to bring them back into our conscious awareness. Bringing ourselves to the “lower world,” the place of empowerment and the subconscious we can find and retrieve these critical aspects of ourselves that sometimes flee due to trauma, illness, neglect, denial, or from our unawareness of their existence, etc.
I will be guiding a journey to this sacred place using tools and methods from ancient times. A journey it is, we will create sacred space and to the sound of my voice a very special rattle made from a part of the root of a still living cypress tree and with the Medicine drum we embark. The cypress has been significant for thousands of years for living between worlds due to its characteristic of growing through Earth, Water, and Air. We will travel through lands which are universally familiar and at the same time may be new to us or our memory. Being deep into this place will bring us near enough for our power animals to find and unite with us.
We as a species that have been watching animals throughout our entire existence, living with them long enough for our subconscious to gain knowledge of what each animal is best at and what it has developed over centuries of survival in a sometimes-hostile world.
While this is called a “group” power animal retrieval please know that the others in the room (besides me) will fall from your awareness quickly and what you find will be yours to share or not as you see fit. This is a journey about you for you and a trek made by you. My role will be as a guide quite accustomed to the landscape and focused on your comfort and success in finding or maintaining wholeness.
Dress comfortably and bring a yoga mat and pillow for your comfort if you wish. I also strongly suggest eating “no kill” foods the day of the event which also includes avoiding vegetables harvested by the destruction of the entire plant. If you are in good health with no dietary or medical restrictions then limiting yourself to ingesting just water three hours prior to the session will help in preparation. If you have a special stone or personal sacred object that brings you comfort, strength, or familiarity and it is easily portable feel free to bring it (I have a crystal and staff I won’t travel without).
This is an age-old practice and I hold sacred the honor of sharing it with you. Journey price is $45. Space is limited, please register in advance.
