We’re walking back into history. We’ll see sites of hidden history; passing the secret Catholic chapel of St Nicholas where worship continued when it was wiped out over most of Scotland. We’ll pass where invading armies travelled from the Romans, on through the turbulent times of Scotland’s history. We’ll pass memorials to remarkable people.

We’re walking back into nature. As we leave the busy road we’ll connect more with the sounds, sights and smells of a midsummer evening. We’ll stop and you can choose to do a little listening exercise to bring us more in tune with ourselves and our surroundings.

We’re walking back to happiness. Walking is a proven way of improving our mood as well as our physical health.

We’re walking back to Fochabers. This is a linear walk of about 5 miles, using mainly tracks and a few short stretches of quiet roads. We’ll use the public bus to let us make the most of the route
