Join Andy for a guided bike ride along the Dava Way, the route of the former Highland railway, from Forres to Dava School House taking in the sights of the Dallas Dhu Historic Distillery, Scurrypool Bridge, Divie Viaduct, deserted cottage at Bogeney and the Half Way Hut. A light lunch will be served at the School House before the cycle back to Forres (for those who don’t want to cycle back you are welcome to arrange your own return transport from the School House back to Forres)
Registration is at 9.30 a.m. outside Forres Academy, Burdsyard Road, Forres, IV36 1FG
We recommend bikes suitable for off road (with good front suspension) as the surface is firm for most of the route but can be rough in places. Please make sure your bike is in good condition, ‘fit for the trip’ with tyres fully inflated, and we recommend you bring the following with you: puncture repair equipment, ‘midgey’ protection, drink/water bottle, helmet and waterproof jacket.
