Forest Habitats Nature Walk: 9:30am – Starts at Pavilion. Free. Explore the diversity of habitats at Morningside with a guided tour by Scott Sager, a forester with University of Florida, School of Forest Resources & Conservation. You’ll learn why certain species occur in certain areas, and how this mosaic changes over time and with changes in management.

Scott is responsible for managing the Austin Cary Forest – the University’s experimental forest. He also teaches courses in plant identification and forest management. Prior to working for UF, he worked across the southeastern United States, in both academia and consulting.

Wear comfortable shoes and bring water. After the walk, shop at the Spring Native Plant Sale, and enjoy low-maintenance native plants that are drought tolerant. The sale continues until 12:30 pm.
